Mr. Underwood is a Senior Director at CAPTRUST, leading the firm’s Discretionary Portfolio Management team which encompasses both wealth and institutional models. Additionally, Mr. Underwood is a member of CAPTRUST’s Investment Committee and is a spokesperson for the firm both internally and externally on models and managers. Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Mr. Underwood served as chief portfolio strategist for 13 years at Welch Hornsby, a large Southeast based investment advisory firm. Mr. Underwood began his investment advising career at Highland Associates in the late 1990s ultimately leading the firm’s manager due diligence efforts and advising non-profit healthcare organizations with their investment programs.
