EXPERIENCE
Before rejoining Northern Trust in his current role, John was a Principal and Lead Portfolio Manager of global strategies for Opus Capital Management. During his 25 year investment career, John has been an institutional trader, a fundamental analyst, and a fund manager. He developed factor and tax based strategies as a member of Northern Trust’s Asset Management division.

EDUCATION
He received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Miami University in Oxford, OH.

CREDENTIALS
John is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an active member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Chicago.

INTERESTS
He is married with 5 children and enjoys exercise, coaching, and watching his kids play sports.

EXPERTISE
John is a Senior Investment Officer and manages the Mid West Investment Team for the Foundation & Institutional Advisory practice of Northern Trust. John and his team assist non-profit clients with investment policy decisions, asset allocation, and investment vehicle selection. John has a strong global investment background and a deep understanding of equity investing. John’s service with Northern Trust began in 2009.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
John leads the Health Care strategy for the FIA practice and is a Board Member and Trustee for La Rabida Hospital. He became involved in Family Services in 2011 and fostered and adopted 2 girls since that time. He is an advocate for education, was elected to school board, and guest lectures at Marquette University on Sustainable Investing. John is a founding member of Block Alzheimer’s which raises money to support Alzheimer’s research. He volunteers and supports Child Link, Little League Baseball, and the American Youth Soccer Organization.
