Steve is a senior member of Aon’s Global Investment practice focusing on its U.S. segment. Steve has served in many capacities over his three decades plus with the firm including, most recently, as the Global Head of Aon Investments, one of the largest providers of investment consulting services to institutional investors with over 400 investment consulting professionals with over 500 clients. Steve serves as the primary consultant for select retainer and project clients. He is involved with many management and strategic initiatives that relate to the health and growth of our investment business and our service to clients.

Steve’s client work has included the coordination and implementation of multiple defined benefit and defined contribution plans into a consolidated structure for a multi-billion-dollar corporate client and the oversight of complex alternatives programs for several large public funds. He also served as the team leader for Aon Investment’s work with the U.S. Treasury Department during its TARP initiative and served as advisor to the State Treasurer and interim CIO of a multi-billion-dollar state retirement system during a transition period between CIOs.
Steve has led and participated in several groups charged with setting the strategic direction of the global investment consulting practice and coordinating consulting efforts around the world. He contributes to our thought leadership within the firm and serves in an advisory capacity on research efforts such as those related to derivatives, private equity, and emerging investment opportunities.
Steve joined EnnisKnupp (the predecessor firm to Aon Investments) in 1989 as a consulting and later rejoined in 2000 as the president and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to rejoining EnnisKnupp, Steve was the president of Marquette Associates from 1997-2000.
